We have released a new version of our Troi File Plug-in, our folder and file manipulation plug-in.
Troi File Plug-in 4.0 runs natively with FileMaker Pro 8.5, is compatible with Windows Vista and is a Universal Mac OS X plug-in.
The 4.0 release adds several new functions and features, like execute shell commands, copying and moving of folders, easy generation of invisible ASCII characters, and getting image descriptions.

August 14th, 2006: At the start of the FileMaker DevCon 2006, we
converted the last of our 6 main plug-ins to be compatible with FileMaker Pro 8.5: we released Troi Text Plug-in 3.0, our text manipulation plug-in. It adds SumText, Set Creation, Lines and Word functions, XML Parsing and more!
This release is Universal on Mac OS X, but also runs on Windows. It is compatible with FileMaker
Pro 7, 8 and 8.5.

April 10th, 2006: We are working on Universal versions of our plug-ins which will run natively on both PowerPC and Intel-based Mac computers. We expect to release them soon after a universal binary version of FileMaker Pro itself is released.

January 9th, 2006: Just before the new year FileMaker
Inc. released an updater of FileMaker Pro to version 8.0v2.
Amongst other problems FileMaker Pro 8.0v2 fixes the
problems with the SumText function on FileMaker 8. We have

Troi Activator Plug-in 2.0.1, our plug-in that can trigger
scripts, even between 2 computers. This plug-in runs native
with the newly released FileMaker Pro 8 and FileMaker

available the an example runtime solution which demonstrates
Background processing on the same computer.

February 6th, 2006: We released a new version (1.8.2)
of Troi URL Plug-in, our plug-in that retrieves web pages
and fills in HTTP forms all from FileMaker. This release is
mainly a maintenance release, but also improves handling of
proxy servers. We also added a function to explicitly set
the proxy server to be used.

June 8th, 2005 We improved our AutoUpdate
example, to include Troi Dialog 4 for FileMaker 7. This
example file shows how to use the AutoUpdate feature of
FileMaker Server 7, with our FileMaker 7 native plug-ins. On

files of all our native plug-ins, making it easier to

May 24th, 2005 Today we released Troi Dialog
Plug-in 4.0. Version 4.0 is completely rewritten for
FileMaker 7. It supports Unicode and multiple parameters.
You can now have dialogs with text in for example Japanese
or Chinese.

version 3.6, which makes use of the classic plug-in API, and

Troi File Plug-in, our file management plug-in. This release
2.6.1 is a maintenance release and does not bring new
functions, but improves support and fixes a number of bugs.

The 2.6.1 release adds support on Mac OS X for mounting
disks on WebDav
servers. Also long file names, up to 255 characters, are now

(July 9th, 2002) Today FileMaker announced its new FileMaker Pro 6 database software, featuring easier-than-ever templates and tools, and a virtually limitless ability to gather, manage and share information.
New in FileMaker Pro 6 is the limited ability to import a folder of images into a database, and, on Mac OS X only, capture digital images and image-data directly from cameras. (June 25th, 2002) The ClipSave Plug-in 1.1 can save and restore the clipboard in 2 simple steps. This new version is compatible with FileMaker Pro 5.0 and 5.5. And it also runs on Mac OS X! ClipSave makes it possible to use ScriptMaker steps that change the clipboard, without the end user knowing the clipboard was temporarily changed. Click here for the details.
(June 25th, 2002) We have now ported all of our plug-ins to Mac OS X, except the Troi Sesame Plug-in. We regrettably have found no way to create the same functionality of the Sesame Plug-in on Mac OS X. We also no longer expect to be able to do this. (April 2nd, 2002) Troi Dialog Plug-in is a very powerful tool for displaying all sorts of dialogs in FileMaker Pro. The text of the dialog and of the buttons can be created dynamically by using a calculation. This version 3.1 of Troi Dialog Plug-in fixes a hard to find bug in the Flash Dialog function. We also added a few wishes from our customers, making it a even more powerful resource for creating flexible dialogs. Click here for the details.
(November 6th, 2001) Troi ASCII Plug-in adds the external function "Asci-LowSafe" to FileMaker Pro 5.5. This function converts higher ASCII characters to lower ASCII characters, while trying to retain as much information as possible. (October 30th, 2001) Troi Serial Plug-in gives FileMaker Pro 5.5 easy and powerful access to one or more of the computer's serial ports. We have tested the plug-in with FileMaker Pro 5.5 and ported it to Mac OS X. We also added the possibility to trigger different scripts for different ports and added support for runtimes (including kiosk mode) created with FileMaker Developer 5 and FileMaker Developer 5.5 for Windows. (January 21st, 2002) The update to version 3.0.2 of the Troi Dialog Plug-in fixes a few bugs that were present in the 3.0 and the 3.0.1 version. If you downloaded the 3.0 package earlier we recommend that you download the 3.0.2 version, which can be found here.
(December 20th, 2001) Troi Dialog Plug-in is a very powerful tool for displaying all sorts of dialogs in FileMaker Pro. The text of the dialog and of the buttons can be created dynamically by using a calculation. In this version we've greatly enhanced flexibility and control of the dialog boxes. The new input dialog can now have up to five input fields being either text, password, popup or checkbox in any combination. Other new features include setting the labels and pre-entered text of the input dialog, specifying the field in which an input dialog will start and positioning the dialog boxes anywhere on the screen. (May 15th, 2001) The first plug-in to run with FileMaker 5.5 on Mac OS X! This plug-in offers the great XML parsing and more! XML (Extensible Markup Language) offers a very easy way to exchange data. FileMaker 5 can easily publish XML, but until now getting XML data back into FileMaker was not possible. Now the final version of the Troi Text Plug-in 2.0.1 can help you parse text formatted in XML. 1.2! The activator is a very powerful tool for triggering
