We currently offer two versions of Troi Activator Plug-in:

• version 2.7: uses the FileMaker 7 native plug-in API and runs with FileMaker 9, 8.x and 7. Version 2.7 is available for Windows XP, Vista and Mac OS X.
• version 1.5.1: uses the 'classic' plug-in API and is compatible with FileMaker 5 through 6, but also works (in a limited way) with FileMaker 7. Version 1.5 is available for Mac OS, Mac OS X and Windows (Window 98, Me, XP, NT).

You are invited to test the Troi Activator plug-in. Download either a Macintosh (.dmg) or a Windows version (.zip) of the package. Each package contains both the Macintosh version and the Windows version of the Plug-in and all example files. Only the compression and (text)formatting is different.

Note Due to the download size of a runtime application (30 Mb) we have NOT included the runtime application "BackProcess Solution 8" in the download of Troi Activator. See below to download the BackProcess 8 runtime.

Running without a runtime

You can run the background example in two copies of FileMaker on one computer, for example run "Foreground.fp7" in FileMaker Pro 8 and run "BackProcess8.bgx" in FileMaker Pro 7. The files "Foreground.fp7" and "BackProcess8.bgx" are included in the Troi Activator Plug-in download package.

Create your own, if you have FileMaker Pro Advanced:

To save on download time, you can bind the file "BackProcess8.bgx" to your own runtime application. Then place it in the folder "BackProcess Runtime 8". The file "BackProcess8.bgx" and folder "BackProcess Runtime 8" are included in the Troi Activator Plug-in download package.

Download the runtime

You can download "BackProcess Solution 8" here. It runs on Mac OS X and Window XP only.

Update: Troi Activator Plug-in™ 1.3x2 SPECIAL build (30-Jan-2002)

Important

This download below contains a special plug-in that is intended ONLY for older models Macintoshes that don't have a PowerPC native power manager. An example is an PowerMac 6100 running Mac OS 8.1. This plug-in does NOT have the sleep function, as this was causing the plug-in to load a 68k power manager, and this caused a crash at startup.

Please only download this version if you are experiencing problems with the regular version of the plug-in on a first generation Power Macintosh. Also please do not distribute it to other users as they might see it as the regular version.

Package contents

This package contains "Activator Plug-in version 1.3x2 special" for Mac OS. If you correctly install this plug-in the Actr-Version function should return "Activator 1.3x2 special". It contains only the plug-in itself, no example files etc.
