Alphen aan den Rijn, The Netherlands, November 11th, 2002--Troi Automatisering today announced the availability of the 1.0.1 version of the Troi URL Plug-in for FileMaker Pro 6. What is Troi URL Plug-in? Troi URL Plug-in can help you fill in forms on the Internet, all from FileMaker Pro. It also retrieves data from any HTTP URL. You can: use the POST command to fill in a web form and retrieve the result directly in FileMaker use the GET command to retrieve data use a secure connection (HTTPS) using SSL (currently Mac OS only) get access to password protected web pages encode text in to HTTP format. show a custom progress dialog during the retrieval (Mac OS only) Suggested Uses Troi URL plug-in allows you to: fill in forms on web sites or your intranet get online data like stock quotes, weather reports, etc. automatically add information to listings and online databases search the Internet for terms or other specific items (like in Sherlock) get the time of your city All these features also work in a runtime solution! What is new in version 1.0.1 This 1.0.1 version is a small update, mainly for Windows users of the plug-in. Version 1.0.1 has these changes for Windows only : Timeout error fixed: we fixed a problem where the plug-in would always return with a timeout error code $$-4230 for certain URLs. Extra length bytes at certain points in the returned HTML are now removed. When an authorization error occurs the plug-in now returns $$-30776 (URLAuthenticationError) , instead of showing the error page from the browser itself. When a timeout occurs the plug-in now always returns error code $$-4230, instead of $$-3259 in some cases. NOTE The Mac OS Plug-in has not changed. Version 1.0.1 of the Mac OS plug-in is the same as the 1.0 version. We only changed the version number to keep in sync with the Windows version. Furthermore we: added a "For Solution developers" folder, with information about distributing this plug-in, corrected a few errors in the user guide. added 5 questions to the Troi URL plug-in FAQ and a Proxy settings page to our web site. Troi URL Plug-in 1.0.1 works with FileMaker Pro 6 and FileMaker Pro 5.x. The plug-in is available for Mac OS 9.0.4 or later, including Mac OS X (10.1 or later), and for Windows 95/98/Me and NT/2000/XP. The plug-in should also run without problems on any machine that is able to run FileMaker Pro 4.0, FileMaker Pro 4.1 and runtimes from FileMaker Developer Edition 4.0, but we have not tested this.
