The 2.6 release adds a RunScript function specially tailored for triggering directly from a FileMaker calculation. We also added an tooltip example and fixed some bugs. FileMaker 9 and Vista Compatible Troi Activator Plug-in 2.6 runs natively with the newly released FileMaker Pro 9 and FileMaker Pro Advanced 9, but also with FileMaker Pro 7 and FileMaker Pro 8.x. Troi Activator Plug-in 2.6 is also compatible with Windows Vista. The Mac OS X version is a Universal plug-in which runs natively on PowerPC and Intel Macs! NOTE Please read the Activator Plug-in FMP8 conversion note on how to convert databases to FileMaker 7 (and 8.x and 9). What is new in v2.6? Troi Activator Plug-in 2.6 is compatible with FileMaker 9 but also for this release the function calls stay completely the same, so you don't have to rewrite any scripts! This release adds these new features: Made compatible with FileMaker Pro 9. Added compatibility with Windows Vista. Added new and easy Actr_RunScript function, which can directly trigger a script from a calculation. It can also pass a script parameter. Added new example file Tooltips.fp7. This example file shows how to trigger a script from a tooltip calculation. Added new switch -GetRegistrationState to the Actr_Version function: This switch allows you to check if the plug-in is currently registered. Fixed a few bugs too. Background processing Activator Plug-in can also trigger silent events and background events. This allows you to keep the main application free, while the background FileMaker application, for example a runtime application, does some time consuming work on data. Control function Troi Activator has a control function to disable all script triggers, so you can do maintenance on the database. Trigger Scripts on remote computers! Troi Activator Plug-in is a very powerful tool for triggering scripts remotely.
